What Happens When We Fight Death?

My movie of choice last night, set in Denmark, with a few scenes in India, was about a man who was giving away his money because he was dying and arranging his affairs himself; even to bringing in his wife’s first love to take over his family for him.  I would like to ask The Holy Spirit for a comment on his final scene.  It was when his body began to go into its last stages, and he became extremely frightened and rebellious about having to die.  He cried and cursed and writhed about in the strongest example I’ve ever seen, (not really having had any experience with dying people).  I studied that episode with great curiosity, because it certainly epitomized the way many people seem to consider death and how they refuse to go quietly into that night.  But, go they always do, as the next scene of his funeral procession illustrated.  I just wondered about the practical effect of all that energetic desire to avoid death, and what it was doing to him, both to his breaking-down body and to his psyche, or spiritual self.  Would You give me an overview, Oh my Holy Spirit?

“Yes, I will!  Linda Layli, Layli Linda (He’s talking slowly) has wanted to know about Death all her life.  I cannot tell you what your own death is going to be like because it will be so different from  most people’s. You won’t have any objections, at all, to coming Up Here and that’s all that Death is.  Simply an excusing from the hardships of life as it must be lived on Planet Earth.  But people don’t understand that and this man was a good example.  He had succeeded very much in business and he had a good family with young children. He was only forty-eight years old, wasn’t he?”

Yes.

“So, he didn’t consider himself finished with his tasks and, indeed, he had been a profligate drinker who probably brought an early death upon himself. But whatever the cause, railing against it will not do anything, at all, to change the outcome. It will only exhaust the person who’s trying to stay longer in the world and they won’t be in the same condition as they would have been if they had accepted My Decision to bring them up to Myself at that very time in their life.

You see, it really doesn’t matter what age you are when you die and leave this wretched condition of material existence on this terrible plane of living.  It may feel just fine to the one inside of this Earth Life but it’s a very small existence, compared to what they’ll find on the Other Side.  And, the conditions of poverty are not so great for those left behind as they might imagine.  It will be good for those surviving people to struggle as it has been written for them.

So, don’t worry, at all, about anyone else if you should be called, suddenly, to leave this world behind.  There’s always a condition for those people to discover, which will enable them to continue life as they will pursue it, until their turn comes to die.  Each one of you plots  his or her own course through existence. Many times, I’m right here, right near them, waiting to be called upon to help them into their new condition and to help them overcome any hurdles caused by the death of a loved one.

Anyone who rails and curses me cannot receive the help that I stand ready to offer.  And, this affects what happens next with them.

You asked Me about this dying man’s cursing. He will be assisted, anyway; because Death is an assisted process. But he, himself, makes it harder for him to accept it. Okay, that’s about all I have to say on that subject.”

In what way does that angry outburst affect “what happens next” in the dying process?

“Linda Layli wants to  know too much about this next stage of Life! Suffice it to say, that he will be very sorry for this lingering emotion. It’s just the same as when faced with many kind people, all gathered to greet you and embrace you and you come noisily, angrily, into the party set up in your honor. You don’t feel too good about yourself for doing that! And it takes a little getting over those bad manners among your beloved friends and family members who are there to greet you after a life on Earth.

If only everybody would just settle into this constantly occurring event in everyone’s life. Perhaps the most important accomplishment is saved for the last minute and then, you can see what everything meant. And that your true home lies in these Upper Realms not down on a paltry little place like Earth. Everything matters; but some things matter more than others. You just have to get out of the Material Realm to realize the truth in “Nothing is permanent! Except life, itself!”
