Oh my Holy Spirit! Brooke and Daniel, whom I met in Luang Prabang, Laos, are very concerned with matters of planetary pollution, particularly concerning the plastic water bottles which are finding their way into the rivers and oceans of the world. There they float in islands of trash, releasing chemicals through their slow disintegration. Brooke also asks about the relationship of the Consciousness of Water and Plastic?
And, she wonders why little plastic bottles, made for the simple function of holding pure water for humans to drink, have become such an insoluble (pun intended) source of pollution in the world’s saltwater oceans. What can humans do about this increasing problem, oh my Holy Spirit?
“My God! This is a wonderful question! I wish I had a snap answer to solve this great pollution problem. But, it is going to depend upon those human survivors of the overall difficulty posed by the fact that modern civilization has so tragically polluted its own nest, so to speak. Let Us see how We feel about these Consciousness Questions. Technically, water does not have a Consciousness, in the way that a human could perceive it. Nor does Lightning, technically, technically, technically qualify on that score, either; as the previous blog might imply.
But, Brooke is asking her questions from a much higher perspective, and so…… yes, water is one of the most vital properties of life, Itself, to both a planet and a person; so it is not without some vital ingredient given to it in the higher act of The Creation of All Things. In the same way that Oxygen might contain many more properties than even our scientists attribute to it. Water and Oxygen don’t require Humanity in order to exist; but Humanity certainly requires both of them!”
And, we humans are the worst polluters of both our Air and our Water! Does it matter to us if they have a Consciousness, or not? We are incapable of perceiving such an unrecognizable form of that, as they might well have. Brooke has touched upon the irony that these plastic bottles only exist for our clean drinking pleasure and health needs. This is a modern fact that commercialism and consumerism has exploited terribly! Then, used once and discarded shamelessly, these same beneficial bottles wind up killing our sea life and eventually destroying our waterways and oceans! Any comments?
“My God! It is awfully clear now, that you are personally adding to this growing problem, daily, aren’t you?”
Absolutely! As a constant world traveler, I move through countries where all foreigners are cautioned not to drink the local water. So, I am always buying bottled water and filling wastebaskets with the empties. I have no choice, since I can’t boil my own drinking water, and I must stay hydrated to remain healthy. I do see, here and there, a few small inventions of useful objects made with this plastic trash: like water troughs for chicken cages, or household and garden flower holders. But, I don’t really see very much in the way of recycling of the billions and billions of empty plastic water bottles.
Will something which is, ostensibly, manufactured and circulated for our health, wind up burying us alive?
“Well, if you can’t get on top of the problem, yes, it probably will! But, what a shame to end the often beautiful and heroic story of Earth’s Humankind in such a silly, demeaning and unnecessary way! We, Up Here, are glued to Our television sets, waiting to see how Humanity Mankind will save Himself! Can He solve this silly riddle; or will He, eventually expire under His own light plastic dunghill?
Come on, People! Show Us what’cha got! Let the children of the world have a design contest to figure out how to use all this pretty, clear, shiny, cutable, mallable, paintable, free supply of lightweight plastic to make art or useful and creative inventions out of! USE this raw material instead of throwing it away!”
Duh! Okay Folks! There’s a challenge we can rise to! Lets let the grade-schoolers sort this knotty\naughty problem out!
