What About The Great Artists In Many Classical Literary, Music or Art Fields? Are These Abnormal Or Freak Capacities?

Oh My Holy Spirit! Florien, the talented Psychiatric counsellor, whom I met here in Casablanca, Morocco, asks about a special breed of human that he has become curious about. These are the world-famous people who have become giants in their field: Art, Literature, Music, Science and Learning, for instance. Many such great works were created centuries ago; yet are still in circulation, highly admired and extremely valuable, today. Shakespeare, Mozart, da Vinci, and Einstein, to name only a few. Who are they? Where do they come from? Are these abnormal or freak human capacities? Why don’t they appear routinely in the general population?

“Oh My God, Linda Layli! Wonderful question! We know that you two are among those great beings, though you won’t be recognized by the public as they were. Florien, a practicing Psychiatrist, directly saves lives. But that’s what his profession expects him to do, so nothing is made of it. It takes great skill to see into the heart of another person and to construct their healing based upon words and concepts that you choose to employ. Such a skill can change someone’s attitude and make a very big difference to their future. Those distressed patients go forward to know other things, different from what their everyday lives provide.

Okay, the Giants you mention are sacrificing their own comfort and taking serious steps to contribute something sublime for mankind to hang onto: cultural objects, entities and works of art which endure in spite of the tests of time. This gives people a way to escape grim reality. Beauty nourishes the soul. So, stellar individuals come to life now and then, to save humanity with an uplifting idea, piece of information or entertainment which is engagingly lighthearted enough to go deep into the core of the matter.

Giants, indeed! They decorate life for the rest of humanity!”

About Linda J. Brown

Linda is a solo around the world traveler, having slowly explored the world's two hemispheres. A third trip around the equator has just begun, planned to last at least four years. After living for a year in the spiritual and beautiful town of Santa Fe, New Mexico, she has transferred to the beautiful and spiritual town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Feeling honored that the mysterious Hurricane Patricia paid her a call during her first week; she is none-the-less, eternally-grateful that this "worst hurricane in human history" decided to leave the planet alone, after all.
