Borders, Refugees, and Overpopulation? What Is The Solution?

My roommate here is Laura of Genoa, Italy, who hopes to change things for refugees from the Middle East. Many are camping on the beach in Italy, and she wants to help them cross the borders and enter Europe. Yet all countries protect themselves from being overrun by establishing borders.

Oh my Holy Spirit, what is the solution to the planet’s refugee problem?

“My God, there is no solution to things as they stand right now. This is evidence to this present-day civilization. It’s not only political; it’s human control where population is overwhelming all resources. This is really an overpopulation problem affecting the whole planet. In the short term, are the dangers and emergencies that such a crush creates, such as wars over resources and scarce land. There will never be enough for everyone when population growth is out of control. Sparsely-populated countries become the new places to conquer, as humans seek subsistence when their own governing bodies are overtaken by the mob. Peaceful existence disappears for everyone.

Peacekeepers, such as Laura, feel that their country should share its resources. But, it’s not as simple as that.

This planet is reaching a crisis point and it’s going to be interesting to see what the next few years might bring. This population level must be gotten under control or it could destroy humanity! It’s a very large problem and Laura is not correct in her position. Shifting people around is no solution.

Only a sudden disappearance of these humans on the planet will alleviate the pressure!”

And, wouldn’t that cause a stir among all of us, to say the least? Interesting times ahead!

After living for a year in the spiritual and beautiful town of Santa Fe, New Mexico, she has transferred to the beautiful and spiritual town of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Feeling honored that the mysterious Hurricane Patricia paid her a call during her first week; she is none-the-less, eternally-grateful that this "worst hurricane in human history" decided to leave the planet alone, after all.
