What Would You Do If Your Mother Deliberately Killed Your Beloved Dog?

Julie, from Belgium, is one of my dorm mates in Hostel La Vista, in San Pedro, Belize; now that I have started my third around-the-world journey. She is still grieving the loss of her eleven-year-old, black lab mix, Unak, whom she had adopted while living in Africa with her mother. She was in the process of trying to find a home for him so that she could continue her world travels, when her mother took matters into her own hands and poisoned the beloved pet. Julie was so horrified by that act that she hasn’t spoken to her mother since. Their relationship had never been good but this act was so unthinkable to her that she has severed their association

Oh, my Holy Spirit, can We speak to Unak about Julie’s ongoing grief over his death? And, do You have any advice for Julie, who is now traveling the world and cannot take on another pet? She just misses Unak and feels guilty about his death.

“Oh My Linda Layli, Layli Linda! This is such a constantly-occurring experience that pet owners feel very guilty about their pet’s death, even if it was a perfectly natural one. In this case, it was not. We are going to answer for a moment in general, and then We will call upon Julie’s dear dog, Unak, to say whatever he wants to say about his death.

Okay, here We go! First of all, death is only temporary…. a passage from one Level to another…. from one Dimension to another. And it is really nothing fatal or permanent. It teaches everyone whatever it must. Also, it helps to train those among you who have separation issues to let go and not cling so very tightly to every little thing in life.

If only Julie and her mother can resolve their serious issues during this lifetime, it will be so beneficial for both of them! If Unak can broker this opportunity to discuss life and death issues, then he will have served such a purpose as most dogs never get to fulfill. Okay, let’s call Unak to the scene… and here he comes! So eager to talk to his beloved Julie!”

“”My Love! My Mommy! I love you so much, Julie, and I am bounding along beside you all the time. I love you so much and I can’t wait to see you again whenever you die, which won’t be for a long time. I know that sounds like a very long time to wait from your end of things, but Earth Life is really quite short and we have had better than a decade together, so that’s a lot more than most people get; even human to human! To say nothing of pet to human! We were always going to have to deal with separation because you were meant to be a traveler and I knew this from the beginning.

I didn’t mind dying. We go to a better life than Earth offers the minute that we leave the Earth Plane. Death doesn’t hurt, you  know! It feels like falling asleep and I very much preferred that, rather than having to become someone else’s dog while you were swanning around without me, in other countries. I didn’t want to be the one who held you back; so your Mom and I devised this plan and we hoped that you would understand. It was the best solution for all of us.

Like I said, death doesn’t hurt and I’m in a much Higher Place right now where I can be close to all of you, all at the same time. Thank goodness, you can finally hear from me!”

Unak, Julie says she sometimes cries late at night in her hostel room, thinking about you and missing you. Did you know that?

“Of course! I do know about it. I am with her at those times and wanting her to  know that all is just fine with me and that I am happy to be able to come with her. But, I don’t like to make her cry.”

What should she do instead of cry?

“Can she just talk to me like when we were both alive? I just am trying to tell her that I’m okay. We could still be together if she would let me be there!”

Like a Spirit Dog, you mean?

“That’s right! Like a Travelin’ Dog!  Tell her to try to make that happen. I would LOVE to be in Belize, or wherever she is! A Portable Doggie, that’s me!”
