I’m now transcribing my hand-written, accumulated journals and I found this interesting explanation of a special kind of interior reaction that I have to certain music or special, surprisingly beautiful sounds or singing voices. I’ll share this with you for Christmas Day! This was written in August, 2014, when I was living in Cuenca, Ecuador. My good friend, Jane, was staying with me and we both, surprisingly, had this same spiritual reaction to sound in the beautiful cathedral there.
I want to take dictation on The Effect of Sound On Our Bodies. We went to the nearby major cathedral of Cuenca, Ecuador, at 11 a.m., to experience the service and the beauty of the glowing golden altar when the lights were on. Neither of us was prepared for the impact of the music upon us. It wasn’t the expected organ/choir music of most churches, but was marvelously amplified, guitar and voice by two talented male singers. All in Spanish.
It had that rare quality that sets my inside self to moving. Jane admitted later that it had the same effect on her. We talked it over at the Don Colon Cafe across the street. Over the years, I have found certain few musicians with a spiritual quality in their voice and instrument; and have always felt that only musicians and singers with awakened spirituality, could create such vibrations.
Today, I wanted to plan to deliberately expose myself to hearing that sort of music much more than I do now. However, I would “use up” so much time, just lying still and noting the effect on my body. I did decide to attend this Cathedral on Sundays to bathe my body cells in that wonderful vibration again. And to ask more about this whole phenomenon, which I am so-sadly neglecting.
Oh my Holy Spirit, can You educate me in this poorly-understood reaction that my internal body tissues experience when I happen upon such rare musical expression?
“Yes, I can and no, I won’t do something to tempt you to spend all your life with your eyes closed and standing still or lying down, just to feel this great feeling on your insides. I will tell you something: your “insides” are Me, because I Am inside of you all the time. Usually, you are not aware of My Presence inside of your body, but when I Am struck by something, or Am surprised by something that someone says…. such as that comment on Friday evening when Arturo mentioned the planet that hit Earth so long ago and you remembered what I had told you about the “white invaders” who took over from the rightful, brown-skinned, inhabitants of Earth…. well, you felt Me react with goosebumps on your thighs.
Anyway, this is Me, reacting to the evidence of a spiritual person in a recording, or in person, through their vocal quality or the music they create. And, I don’t think that you should be wondering if this is valid or not. It is what it is! Ever since you opened up your Hearing Channels, I have been in your body cells! Bigtime!”
Jane’s Hearing Channels are open now, too; and she registered the same sensation. So, You fill her cells, too! Do these musicians also have that same “occupied status,” in order to resonate that way?
“Yes, they do! (repeated many times) You are a Community of Souls, who are able to recognize each other and respond to each other’s presence in many ways. Usually, you’re not broadcasting your Voices in such a massive, public way. But, when you do, My Consciousness wakes up in every listener and that is just that!”
